Telelearning Series

Register to join us Tuesday, August 9 from 7 - 8:15 pm CST for this month's telelearning: Workout Your Worries: Anxiety and Exercise in MS. If you live with MS, you are twice as likely to experience anxiety and mood disorders. In fact, up to 60% of people with MS experience low mood or depression, and up to 40% experience anxiety. While medications and talk therapy are important strategies for helping with mood challenges, emerging scientific evidence suggests that exercise may be equally as effective. Please join psychologist Meghan Beier, Ph.D., and a physical therapist Mandy Rohrig, PT, DPT, for an honest interactive conversation about recognition of mood changes and ways to management mood with physical activity.

The 2016 National MS Society and Can Do MS Webinar & Telelearning Series brings together a collaboration of MS experts to help you learn strategies to live your best life with MS. Recordings are available afterwards if you're unable to attend live.

JOIN AN MS PILATES CLASS IN FAYETTEVILLE
Taking place each Saturday, this beginner-friendly class will focus on balance, posture, core stability and gait as it pertains to managing common MS symptoms. Most of the exercises will be performed on a floor mat or in a chair, and any standing exercises can be easily modified to a seated posture.
