MS ENTREPRENEURS
MS Entrepreneurs are creative, innovative individuals who are passionate about developing new ways to improve the lives of those touched by multiple sclerosis. The Society seeks to provide grants to these individuals so that funding won't stand in the way of change. The next deadline for submission is Monday, Oct. 24. WORLD'S LARGEST MS RESEARCH CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS ADVANCES IN PROGRESSIVE MS, GUT MICROBIOME, MANAGING SYMPTOMS AND NEW APPROACHES TO RESTORING FUNCTION
More than 2,000 presentations were made at the European Committee for Treatment and Research in MS (ECTRIMS) meeting held in London, England in September. The world's largest gathering of MS researchers convened more than 9,000 scientists, clinicians and industry representatives from across the globe, including many National MS Society-funded researchers, meeting and presenting on cutting-edge MS research progress. OCTOBER DISCUSSION OF THE MONTH: PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical therapists (PT) evaluate and address the body's ability to move and function, with particular emphasis on walking and mobility, strength, balance, posture, fatigue and pain. Have you tried physical therapy to treat MS symptoms? What were the results? What tips would you have for others who are considering this form of rehabilitation? What questions do you have about PT? JOIN A NEW SELF-HELP GROUP
Connect with others living with MS who are newly diagnosed in College Station on the first Saturday of each month! This Self-Help Group is open to people with MS, family and friends. The group meetings will focus on topic discussions, general sharing among members, with occasional speakers during the year.

SOCIETY QUARTERLY GOAL PROGRESS REPORT AVAILABLE
The Goal Progress Report for the third quarter of FY2016 summarizes April through June progress in each strategic plan goal area. The report tracks our progress against the FY2016-2018 Strategic Plan, and also articulates how our collective impact better ensures people affected by MS can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever.
