The 2016 National MS Society and Can Do MS Webinar & Telelearning Series brings together a collaboration of MS experts to help you learn strategies to live your best life with MS. Recordings are available afterwards if you're unable to attend live.


On The Move

ON THE MOVE LUNCHEON
The Dallas On the Move Luncheon celebrated its 10th anniversary at the Ritz-Carlton Friday, Oct. 14 with 250 guests in attendance. The event was co-chaired by father-daughter duo Dr. Philip Raskin and Robbin Raskin Solis, and included keynote speakers Dan and Jennifer Digmann, a couple living with MS from Michigan. The program honored Jamie Benn, captain of the Dallas Stars, as the Person On the Move, and Kendra Scott as the Company On the Move. The event raised more than $112,000.

Save the Date for the 12th Annual Houston On the Move Luncheon! The 2017 event is co-chaired by Ashley Cruse and Catie Ross and will be held Wednesday, March 22 at the River Oaks Country Club. The Above and Beyond Award will continue for years to come in honor of Franelle's leadership and dedication to the On the Move Luncheon. Click here fore more information.


THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY
All South Central offices will be closed for a half-day Wednesday, Nov. 23, all day Thursday, Nov. 24 and all day Friday, Nov. 25.

This month, in honor of National Family Caregivers Month, we invite you to join us for a conversation honoring MS carepartners. Tell us what you value the most from your carepartner. And if you're a carepartner, what advice can you share with people who may be new to the role of a carepartner? Join the discussion.

JOIN A NEW SELF-HELP GROUP
The first meeting of the No "MS"ing Around Support Group in Granbury is Wednesday, Nov. 9. This self-help group is open to people with MS, family and friends. Meetings will focus on topic discussions, general sharing among members, with occasional speakers during the year.

NIH RESEARCHER RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS BARANCIK PRIZE FOR INNOVATION IN MS RESEARCH
Daniel Reich, M.D., Ph.D., was recognized for his innovative ways of looking at the brain to advance knowledge of MS.

The International Consortium of MS Genetics has identified 200 genetic variations associated with MS, providing new leads to understanding how genes and other factors combine to make people susceptible to getting multiple sclerosis. These findings were made possible by the combined efforts of the consortium members, who were able to analyze data from more than 100,000 people. Click here to read more.
