Continuing Support of the Americans with Disabilities Act

July 26, 2015 marks the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, a groundbreaking law that helped pave the way for much of today’s accessible landscape: curb cuts, ramps, automatic doors, braille on ATM machines, beeping sounds on city street crosswalks, accessible bathrooms in airports and more. We’ve made great strides but more change is needed for citizens with disabilities.

JULY DISCUSSION OF THE MONTH: MOBILITY AND ACCESSIBILITY
The terms "mobility" and "accessibility" refer to being able to get where you want to go and do what you want to do - comfortably, safely, and with a limited drain on your energy. What tools and strategies do you use to stay active, productive and involved? What barriers still stand in your way? Share your experiences and questions this month on MSConnection.org
