This three-day, fun-filled retreat includes games, indoor and outdoor activities, and prizes, and is designed for people living with MS and their spouse or a care partner. REGISTRATION FOR THE MARDI GRAS GETAWAY WEEKEND IS A TWO-STEP PROCESS! First, please register with the National MS Society by clicking "Buy Ticket" below, or by calling us at 1-800-344-4867 (select option 1 at the prompt) to register over the phone. Next†, please make your room reservation at Post Oak Lodge by calling 918-425-2112; tell the reservationist you are reserving for the National MS Society, Getaway Weekend. Room rates are $90/night‡. † Participants must be guests at Post Oak Lodge. All room reservations and payments are to be made directly to Post Oak Lodge. ‡ Participants are responsible for their room, transportation, and incidental fees; meals are included as part of your registration. IMPORTANT DETAILS ABOUT POST OAK LODGE: Check-in is at 4:00pm Friday, November 14th and the weekend will conclude on Sunday, November 16th by noon. Rooms are located in cabins; two of the cabins have an upstairs with NO elevator. If you require a room on the first floor, please be sure to tell the reservationist when you call Post Oak Lodge. The majority of rooms are on the first floor, but you must request it if needed. ADA-compliant (handicap accessible) rooms are limited; please request one only if absolutely necessary. All rooms are non-smoking; however, there are designated smoking areas on the property. Volunteers will provide wheelchair shuttles to restrooms and guest rooms, assistance with luggage, meals, and etc., but are not trained to give personal care assistance and will be unavailable for personal needs. If you need personal care assistance, a caregiver must attend with you. An information packet will be sent upon confirmation of your registration for the Getaway Weekend. Roommates can help cut the cost and add to the fun of the whole weekend! Ask someone from your self-help group! (The National MS Society cannot assist in finding roommates.) All participants will receive the official "Mardi Gras Getaway Weekend 2014" long-sleeve t-shirt. Additional t-shirts are $10 and must be purchased at the time of registration. Reservations received after the October 30th deadline will be accepted by space rate availability only. No refunds are available after October 30th. |
